A compliment of Boomkat.com’s digital offering, ‘14 Tracks’ has been created for a demographic of non specialist music lovers.

The site aims to capture interest from those struggling to wade through the sheer volume of music available out there and find what they are looking for.

Regardless of whether the audience is knowledgeable and thirsty for music but just doesn’t have much spare time, or whether they have been introduced to a kind of music – be it Dub, Pop, Techno, Dubstep, Modern Classical, Americana or whatever else – and wish to find more but just don’t know how, or where to start. Or maybe they just want someone to put together a selection of music that will soundtrack their next train journey or evoke images of places they have never been to – 14tracks.com attempts to offer the place to discover new music.

The approach in the site’s creation was to focus the offering into thematic music selections that would evoke a narrative in the user’s mind offering musical accompaniments to everyday things or lifestyle aspirations. 14 tracks are hand picked using a dedicated web based CMS that allows the theme’s author to assigns the tracks into a grouping and instantly publish them to the site.

The business logic, media processing, file download management and order handling are all seamlessly integrated with Boomkat’s underlying ERP system for a fully supported end to end solution.
